At the end of each academic year, the English Department at New Jersey City University holds a ceremony to recognize the accomplishments of its students in the major and minor programs as well as alumni. The awards recognize high academic achievement, outstanding service to the department and to the community, and remarkable creative work, as well as special scholarships and other successes.

 

Traditionally, our Recognition Day event has been held in the Gothic Lounge on campus. In 2020 it was replaced with a video event because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and that led to the creation of this website, which serves as a record of every year's award recipients.
